Michelle's Story
I was a naive kid of 18 stationed oversees at RAF Alconbury after graduating from Long Beach Poly and to say the least amnomity can be both a blessing and a curse. I had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. Then a friend said I would like you to meet somone. GOING ON THAT BLIND DATE 20 YEARS AGO!!!! It led to marriage 2 children Sarah and Jonathon both born in England who were the only saving grace but then eventually HELLl and now ..........a life unexpected. His name is Joaquin ,my grandson, wouldn't change it for the world. It was worth it. I have another grandson Marley (thats right after Bob) and a grandaughter on the way Lily-Rose.
After I left England and my husband I went to Nursing School at LBCC. I was class president and had a lot of fun. I graduated in 1992 with my A.S. went on and got other degrees. Now I teach LVN clinicals and theory at a private college. My fondest memory of the Air Force ( there are so many) is the airmans club and a bartender named LES. the people I met and the drinking we did!!!! Nursing School was...Expand for more
fun I even had a relationship with a fellow student. It did not last but it was good for me at the time and I hope all the best for him. My best memory was going to Sacramento in the RV. For those of you that went with me (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) never forget!!!
High school was a strange and crazy adventure for me with a lot of crazy memories. We had plenty of fun. I had very dear fiends whom I still think of as sisters JEAN AND THELMA and of course our circle of friends Andreas, Mimi, Anthony, and Michael. I miss you all and find myself often wondering about you. Some I have had the oportunity to reconnect with. Others I have never been out of touch with and some I will only have in memories but I will always cherish our brief but eventful history .
