Morganna's Story

Life (very interesting, please read to the end) My name is Morganna Sue Brissenden (Hale). I graduated from Compton High School in 1963. I was married in 1963 to Robert Brissenden. I have two children, a daughter, Karen, and a son, Ralph. I have three grandsons, they are Karen's boys, Joseph, Daniel and Thomas. They have all graduated from high school. Tom, the youngest, graduated from high school in 2006. In 1976, Robert, our children, and I moved to Crescent City, CA. Crescent City is located in a beautiful part of our state. (in extreme Northern California about 20 miles south of the Oregon border on Hwy 101). Magestic redwoods, the magnificent Pacific Ocean, and the pristine Smith River are all part of the scenery in Crescent City and Del Norte County. WOW! I worked at Del Norte High School in Crescent City for 28 and a half years in the Counseling Office and the Career Center. In 1996, Robert left me saying he was not happy (after 33 years of marriage).. Then I brought my mother to live with me in 1997 and I took care of her until October 2000, when she peacefully passed away. In September 2004, I was in an automobile accident that totaled my car (while driving I was stung by a bee and I am allergic to them) and I hit a pole which deployed the airbags, so my insurance company totaled my car.. Three weeks later I lost my home in a fire. (and I didn't even have a car that I could sleep in)! In 2005, the school dist...Expand for more
rict for whom I had worked 28.5 years, eliminated my job and I was forced into retirement. In 2006, Robert finally got up enough nerve to file for divorce. Other than those incidents, my life has been wonderful. God is so good and He continues to bless me every day. One thing God has helped me do is to take meals and make visits to seniors who are confined to their homes. Other activities in which I participate are: playing in the United Methodist Church bell choir and serve as the church's wedding coordinator. I bake and decorate wedding cakes and cakes for other occasions, I am a good cook, I paint pictures, I am fairly proficient on the computer, I am in charge of the Floral Building at our Del Norte County Fair. I love to drive and travel as much as I can. I keep busy to keep from being lonely!! I look forward to hearing from any of my classmates from Compton High School. It is my desire to re-connect with former schoolmates. Now that I am single, I hope to find a loving man to share the rest of my life. If it is in God's plan for me to find a new husband, He will guide me. I hope it is so. I would like to ride on a motorcycle again. I had ridden a few times during high school but my married life did not take me down that road! May God richly bless you and yours in our modern world which is in such uncertainty and confusion. I pray that you are in a comfortable time in your life. Please let me know how you're doing.
