Morley's Story
Spent a couple of years building houses then left the island, lived in Kirkland for a while building more houses. In 79 I joined the army, had a fantastic time in the 504th, met my wife, was ready to get out, but they bribed me so I went to Monterey and learned Arabic. Back to Bragg in the 519th, where my son was born, then back to DLI to instruct Arabic, though I only got 8 months in the classroom because of schools and Desert Storm. the branch manager and got me an assignment in Augsburg, Germany where I made 1SG with the old 5th MI, but things went the wrong way with my son, only got to spend 2 years in Augsburg, and had to go back to the states and Fort Lewis, where I retired in 99. Moved back to the island, bought my sisters 5 acre farm in Greenbank, built furniture for David Gray and just enjoyed life. My son graduated and moved to Seattle to attend UW, so wifey and I moved to Redmond, where I currently live, though I still have the farm and just might retire there!
