Shirley's Story
Life
Married 30 years, 5 children, 5 grandchildren 1 on the way...Food Service Director at a high school for 20 years, go figure, couldn't keep me in school back then. Moved from San Franando Valley 22
years ago. Live in a tiny town 45 miles North East of Bakersfield on 2 acres. Only kids now at home have 4 legs and fur.
School
Sorry to say the only reason I was at Canoga Park High School was because I got kicked out of Chatsworth...Expand for more
. But I did straighten out and graduated..and became a productive adult.
Workplace
My first and most important job was raising my children...once my youngest was in school I too went back to school, working for food service. Yes, I am one of those dreaded lunch ladies. I started as a sub and quickly became the Food Service Director. I love working with high school kids. Teenagers aren't all bad kids. 20 years and still going strong.
