Life Since i retired 7 years ago(6/2000) after 32 years of teaching high school history in Stevens Point,WI, i'm spending summers on the lake in Star Lake, Wi (my permanent home)and splitting some time at my cabin in central montana and a condo in New Port Richey, Fl.. Who would have thought i'd become a teacher??? It's a good lifestyle,but i'm on the go alot. It does make it hard to establish any kind of relationship and that is a definite bummer! I still enjoy reading,travel, visiting historic sites,golf( i'm so-so!) socializing with good friends, and especially the outdoors. I've always loved fishing, hunting, and hiking anywhere the country roads take me. They continue to be my real passions! They might turn off some people, but they beat smoking and drugs by a mile to me! Although i must say,climbing those mountains seems to be getting abit harder these days!! lol I've been divorced for sometime(still looking), and never was blessed with children. I still keep in contact with a number of my Schurz friends over all these years and they are some of life's great treasures! I rarely go ...Expand for more
