Muriel's Story
After HIgh School, I went to Wesconn and got a degree in Elementary Ed, even though what I really
wanted was a degree in Secondary Ed-French, but Wesconn dropped French as a major in my junior year. After I got my degree , I got married. There were no teaching jobs in 1975, so I decided to go to
Berkeley College and get a diploma in Secretarial
Studies. I had my first child in 1977, the second in
1978,and the third in 1981. I did some substitute teaching from 1977 to 1984, but then went into

ail sales. I've had many different jobs and am now
a bank teller.
I still do my art, but just not as much as I once did.
I did win a few awards. I've been married for almost thirty -three years now and I'm a grandma. I live in the Danbury area with my husband for 31 years.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
My favorite way to relax is to listen to music or do art or write stories.(as you can see.
