Murray's Story
Is it really important to know what I've been up to for the past 44 years? I can't even remember it all. Here's a quick synopsis of what's happened: Radio announcer from the early 70s to mid-80s. Career shift in 1984 to the nonprofit sector. Still married to Linda (Nelson) Schmidt. Two daughters (now grown) along the way and both are teachers. Still playing softball (now referred to as "Geezer Ball") and trying to stay fit, although my waistline belies that.

ement account I'll need to work until I'm 90 years old! For the past 24 years, I've worked for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and have been its Executive Director since 1992. Linda is employed by the White Bear Lake School District as a para assisting a school psychologist.
More recently, I've fulfilled one of my dreams. Since 2009, I've been the frontman and vocalist for a 1960s oldies band that plays around the Twin Cities. We're called The Wax-Tones and if you ever want to come out and hear the band you can find out more about t us by searching on Google.
