Myles's Story
I was in comedy and theater from '78-84
attended Second City, Chicago
Strassberg Actor's Studio and the Herbert Berghoff school of acting, NYC. you've probably seen me in the movies. i usually sit toward the center. I still love to create, i love to write and read. Im still very active. At 52 I was hanging cable wires from telephone poles- nicknamed grampa. other workers were avg age of 25. The acting and comedy wore thin in 1984. Ironically ive recently gotten a big second wind (or is it gas) but now i want to perform with my writings.
Ive had too many jobs. Im just trying to remember to breathe.i do contracting/construction for years, did much of the 12th St. Entertainment District, worked in Kitchen & Bath Remodel ,and now sell and install lighting. My passion and hobby is still writing. im still funny.witty.Have traveled a lot,(21 countries), never married, no children... and now i live with my dad and sister in Batavia,Oh.G-d,,, help me. my goal is to leave town asap...I'd have committed suicide but those of you who know me know that i never finish anything.( i wrote that line years ago)
TRAVEL
Ive been very fortunate to have traveled to some 21 countries and or provinces. 1997 I had planned for a month trek through Europe , trek is a fancy word, i was going to Eurail my way around the country. Even hitch-hiked a bit. The most amazing thing about this trip, even poignant, is that I arrived on the weekend they buried Princess Diana. Sept. I arrived on a Friday afternoon, met two ladies and found lodging where they were staying, at King's College (which had been converted for this event into a youth Hostel). T...Expand for more
his dorm lodging was about 6 blocks away from West Minster Abbey, where the funeral procession ended. You should have seen the flowers piled 4 feet high everywhere. To see Buckingham Palace as I did on that Sunday's morning with flowers so deep you could smell them more than a block away. I, too, was deeply moved and saddened by the loss of such a wonderful lady, gracious and giving. So, i was bummed and caught a tour bus ride north to Stratford on Avon. This is famous for the writer, William Shakespeare.
I left there and continued my trip over to the European mainland by bus down to the cliffs of Dover, ferried to Calais, France, caught a train to Dunkirk and back just for something to do then caught my train to Paris, on to Brussels Belgium, then on to Amsterdam,on to Hamburg, then Munich, Austria, Switzerland, Venice, Rome,
back to Paris and London and home.I remember on the plane thinking how great the trip was and how I probably would never get to go back for years to come and then the next year, 1998 I got a job working on computer compliance for the Y2K glitch and was sent from cinci to Washington where I was assigned two weeks in Spain (Rota) and two weeks in Cairo Egypt. I also spent 5 days in Athens, an hour in Crete, 1 day in N Africa's Tangier and Morrocco cities, and I visited the Rock of Gibralter two or three different times. Its off the coast of Spain about two and a half hours by the rental car i had rented. Now, ten years later Im finally in Batavia, OH in the rural area. Will somebody please...shoot me! but so far...its been a hell of a ride ! My ongoing goal is to get back into preforming arts
