Myra's Story
Life
In December 2003 we celebrated our 34th anniversary and John and I continue to adapt to and enjoy being 'empty nesters'.
We were married for ten years before having children, and then were blessed with Carl in 1979 and Victoria in 1983. John joked, we have one of each and there aren't any more selections to make, so we called our family complete.
Carl graduated in 2001 from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism, and he continued his studies for two more years at the nationally known Portfolio Center here in Atlanta. He then joined Foote Cone & Belding in Chicago as a copywriter.
Victoria is at Georgia Southern University, and maintaining her NCAA soccer scholarship activities as a defender for the Lady Eagles. She is a junior now, majoring in marketing.

rred to me that I would be at home by myself in a couple of more years. I re-entered the work force after a 16 year Sabbatical and began working for a temp agency. That quickly turned into several full-time offers, and I accepted a position in purchasing with a company that allowed me to have flexible hours. I'm still there until Vikki completes school and then will 'retire'.
I don't like to fly, but have traveled with John to Paris, Maui, Vail, throughout California and we chartered boats in the Virgin Islands three years in a row. I passed on meeting him in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and other oriental and European locations.
I enjoy working in the flower beds, reading and having quiet time at home with John. We still have family and friends in Florida and usually visit Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando and Boca Raton during the year. I do miss the sandy beaches and love any excuse to get my feet in the warm sand and have the sun on my face.
