Myra's Story

Life I must not forget Mrs. Hattie Rogers at Washington Elmentary School. Mrs. Rogers was the most caring teacher in my world. I had the biggest crush on all my brothers’ classmates. Ms. Coulter inspired me the most. She told me I could do anything, become whatever I want to, and all I had to do was to focus and make short term & long-term goals. The funniest moment was graduation night...Expand for more
, Carolyn Phillips and I went to the Diamond Inn and was summoned by our parents over the loud speaker to come home. Surely you would get pregnant if you tongued kissed a guy. I was in the 7th grade. College I remember starving in college (smile). I remember students protesting, big Afros, bell-bottom jeans, cooking hot plates in the dorm and weird professors. Everyone trying to make it.
