Myra's Story
Life
Just some quick info...I graduated from Western in 1982...I'm married to Evan Thomas (Poly grad from 1984)...we have 2 kids...Chloe (born 1994) and Maia (born 1998)...I live in a lovely treelined suburban town in NJ...bedroom community of NYC...we lived in NYC for years, before moving out here because of the kids...I'm a freelance writer and author...and I specialize in business journalism. I've had 2 books published, and thousands of newspaper and magazine articles in print. I changed careers in 1994, so I wouldn't have to travel out of the country anymore, after having my daughter Chloe. Before that I was the VP of an insurance underwriting firm for Lloyd's of London. both of my careers have involved finance (whether on the analytical side or reporting), Evan and I have a lot to talk about, as he's a Trader on Wall Street. He survived the World Trade Center blasts (both times) and was lucky to get out! That's our "way too eventful" news.
Some background...after Western, I went to Vassar College, and graduated with a BA in Poly Sci in 1986...what else...hmmm...I finished my MFA in Creative Writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University in August 2006!
