Life is enjoyable! There are some things in my life to this point that I would do differently, if I were doing it over again. However, most things I would do the same.
Certainly not all experiences have been enjoyable or even of my choosing, nevertheless, I feel quite blessed! I thank God for those blessings!
I do wish I could remember details about all the people I have met and worked with, but that seems to be impossible. part of living, and it makes this and other such websites enjoyable; I do encounter problems with remembering enough detail from times past from what I would most prefer.
I enjoyed all my past jobs and/or assignments even though each had their unpleasant parts.
Also, I have noticed that my memories and those memories by others differ, sometimes significantly, for the same events. I suspect these variations are due to the significance of the event to those involved.
My first and favorite Sunday School teacher passed on recently which is sad, however, I am very appreciative of her life. She was one of the few who really lived what she taught; plus she did not abandon her beliefs with the changing societal pressures to do so.
One of the dumest things I ever did was run around on the roof of a campus building with a friend (also a Blue Mound Alum) testing radios in the middle of the night about six stories up on a four foot wide roof ledge. In the process I caught my toe in a roof drain and fell flat on the roof - WHEW! - close call! I again thank God that I fell onto the roof and not off it!
