Nadine's Story
Life
After two years of college I married Steve Sagouspe', who I met at Reedley College. We have been married for 39 years and have two children. Kirk, 38, is married to Vicki and they have 2 boys; Kenan (5) and Tanner(2). They are beautiful, bright boys and are the pride of this grandmother. Heather, 35, lives and works in San Francisco, is unmarried, but is in a serious relationship.
I was a stay at home mother until Heather entered college and then I worked in the counseling office at Madera High School and also was a cheer advisor. After twelve years of working, and seeing our two children through college, I went back to being a homemaker. This is what I love to do and am extremely happy with my lifestyle. I love to cook and bake. We enjoy having dinner parties and practicing wine paring.

I spend time volunteering for Children's Hospital, Madera County Arts Council, singing at funerals and weddings, and I belong to a singing group, Second Take, which presents concerts with proceeds going to music scholarships for local high school students.
Three years ago, on 9/11, I was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus, and thankfully I got through that time in my life, but it makes every day of my life very special and I am more determined to stay active and healthy.
My father died thirteen years ago at 81 and my mother died less than two years ago at 86. I miss them both but cherish the wonderful years they gave me and the Christian example they set.
My husband, Steve, is a real estate and water broker in Madera having an office at the Madera Airport. His sales take him throughout California and Arizona. He enjoys flying and has a hangar next to his office.
That's pretty much my life as it is, by choice.
