Naida's Story
This photo is from my most recent trip to Haiti on May 19 to 26 , 2010. I have beeen part of a mission team since 2008 and this was my third trip.. My parish, St Marys, Bowers Hill, has a twinning relationship with the Parish of Roy-Sec, Haiti. It is a rural community of very poor peanut farmers. We support a school with 260 students. These young people were studing for a test. They are not students at our school but members , but attended our craft classes and are from the community. We have help finish...Expand for more
a well and are added a grade each year. Next year we will add the fifth grade and the year after that will be the sixth and last grade.
My husband, Russell and I have been married for 40 years. We have one married daughter age, 38, two Grandaughters, 22 and 18, and two Grandsons ages, 13 and 11. We also have two great grandsons, ages 5 and 6. We live ten minutes away from them. Russell retired from the Navy after 35 years in 2008.
I love gardening, improving my home, a good book, my family and my church.
