Nanako's Story
GO TO MY PROFILE NOTES AS I BLOG THERE ON WHAT I'M UP TO CURRENTLY. I attended Washington Intermediate so I know some McKinley '71-ers. The majority of Washngtonians went to McK, so if you were my classmate at Washington leave me a message!!
These are my rambblings, philosophies, etc.
I've always lived on this rock except for just a few vacations, and probably will die here, though I was tempted to go live in Vegas for a really long time. I lived on Maui for a few years and I always said I would want to retire there, up in Kula and just have a gaggle of farm animals. As long as I had a t.v. and a car, I would be happy there. However prices up in Kula have steadily gone up, and probably unaffordable by now. I still think it's God's country up there. When I lived in Maui it was still a sleepy town so much so that when Burger King opened up there was such traffic jams! There was only one really good Japanese restaurant then. almost big city, but at a slower pace. I'll never forget the blue clear waters of Makena and a part of me will always call Maui home. I have however moved so many times, I'm an expert at packing, but I did live in one place for 20+ years, and I still miss that area. I hope to move back to that area in the near future. I've been blessed in so many ways, I have such good friends still from high school, and friends from after high school that I'm still connected with. No matter the changes and whatever fortune has or has not placed in our way, our friendship has endured. I've found out that our exterior changes so many ways, and now that I'm older, it's not getting prettier! The wrinkling, the sagging, the lack of energy, the arthritis, the backaches and so much more. But the core of me is the same as I was or a matured version of the kid in high school. The matured version is more secure and confident within, and most importantly, at peace.
