Nancy's Story
I am currently an Economics Professor at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Here are some key dates in my life so far:
Dec. 1966 - Left Lee High in the middle of the 10th grade
Jan. 1967-July 1968 - Attended Brockenhurst Grammer School in England
Sept. 1968 - Started freshman year at Smith College, Northampton, Mass.
Sept. 1970-May 1971 - Spent Junior Year Abroad in Geneva, Switzerland with an introductory 6 weeks in Paris, France
May 1972 - Graduated as an Economics major with a B.A. from Smith College.
June 1972 - Went to work as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
August 10, 1972 - Married Stephen Jianakoplos
May 1974 Received an M.A. in Economics from University of Missouri-St. Louis

975 - Promoted to Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
Feb. 2, 1976 - Dissolution of marriage with Stephen Jianakoplos
August 1978 - Moved to Columbus, Ohio to begin work on a Ph.D. in Economics at The Ohio State University
August 1983 - Received a Ph.D. in Economics from Ohio State
August 1983 - Moved to East Lansing, Michigan as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Michigan State University
June 10, 1990 - Moved to Fort Collins, Colorado as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Colorado State University
April 15, 1993 - Bought a house with Jay Donlon
July 1996 - Promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at CSU
Jan. 1, 2002 - Married Jay Donlon
July 2003 - Promoted to Professor of Economics at Colorado State University
