I've been in Southern California since the mid-80s. Was married but am now divorced with two kids. I was finally able to go to college a decade after high school and have been juggling kids and homework (theirs and mine) since then. I earned my B.A. in Communicative Disorders in 2003, my master's degree in 2007, and am finishing up work for other credentials that will give me more career options as a speech-language pathologist. I'm looking forward to being finished so I can get some much-needed sleep after years of going without it. I live in Dana Point, less than a mile from the ocean, but I never quite get around to seeing it unless it's from my car. I'm determined to change that now that I'm finally finished with college. I've only been back to visit Phoenix a handful of times since I left, but I'm also determined to change that and visit more often. My daughter, Paige, is a junior in high school this year. My son, Chase, is older but is severely handicapped, so he is really the younger child. Because of Chase and his disabilities, I have been involved in the special ed world for almost 20 years and am looking forward to helping kids like him when I start working as a speech path.
