Nancy's Story
I am very sad to say that my sister, Nancy Apgar died on July 23, 2012 as the result of blunt force trauma from a car accident. She is greatly missed by her three children. Just a note of a bitter sweet note, Nancy's daughter Stephanie is now married and expecting her first child. Nancy never got the chance to hear this wonderful news. Sadly our brother Warner died in 11/2010 of a sudden illness. This was a great trauma for both of us. Nancy's beloved Boykens now live with her son and his girl friend in Pennsylvania. They are. much loved and miss their "Mommie" Her oldest son, Richard Kaminski, is from her first marriage to Dick Kaminski (class 1961). Her other two children Nicholas Stucka and Stephanie Stucka are from her second marriage to Ted Stucka. I have left below her short note about her life below. Nancy was my sister and best friend. way in the house I grew up in. I am the mother of three terrific children, two sons, Richard Kaminski and Nicholas Stucka and my daughter Stephanie Stucka. I retired from my nursing career about 5 years ago but still work on a permanent part-time basis at the same long term care facility. Life has held its share of happiness and sadness for me as it has for everybody else. My parents are both gone, Dad died in 1966 when my first born was a baby. Mom lived well into her 80s and died in 1999. My brother and sister are both alive and well. My sister lives locally and brother retired from the Navy and retired to New Mexico.
I am still waiting to hear the pitter patter of little feet (grandchildren) but until then my two Boyken spaniels remain by babies. I did attend the June 12, 2010 reunion and was sad to see that there were so few from out class attending. It would be such a "happening" to get together.
