Nancy's Story
Life
I was born in Miami, Fla. October 16, 1956. I grew up mainly in N.C., but lived in Fla until I was 5 years old. I married my high school sweetheart and have been married for 31 years. We had two children (1 boy, 1 girl). Our son married, but passed away 6 years ago. Our daughter married 5 years ago, and gave us 3 beautiful grandsons. I worked at Richmond Memorial Hospital for almost 18 years, spent 1 year as secretary at Hoke Correctional Inst in Raeford, and now 14 years later, I am a proud 911 Telecommunicator for the County of Richmond.
School

College
Now, at the age of 48, I had decided I need to be "educated" even more. I am taking two online classes in order to try for my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice! It seems to be a good time in my life to attempt this, so here I go!
Workplace
I first started out many years ago working at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in the Pharmacy when I was 18 years old. I stayed there for almost 18 years until I went to work for the state for 1 year. I left there in 1991 and when the 911 was integrated into our phone system in 1992, I started there and have been there ever since. I am on my 14th year here and love it! I have had many life experiences happen, met many people, and have made new friends.
