Nancy's Story

Life No kids, but a bouncing baby westie that tries to make up for the lack of human little feet... I am still off roading, but have upgraded to a Buick Rainier... I am now a PMP and am trying to decide bewteen MBA vendors... think about it... they are more dollars then scholars... College Besides seeing the end of the Alpha Xi Delta chapter and making it into the Alpha Chi honor society the only other organizations I had time for was trying to start a local college chapter of the American Chemical Society... well... there was the still in the organic lab... does that count? Workplace Ah what a path I have followed... from polymer particles in California, to Kidney Dialisate in New Jersey it was a clear shot from technical specialist to bench chemist. then life got in the way and following my heart cost me several years and many grey hairs... when you watch all the wonderful <gack> Poker shows on television ...Expand for more
these days think of me... I spent 7 years flipping cards and writing newsletters for foxwoods casino... it paid $15 / hr more then being a bench chemist at Pfizer! But fate did bring me through the land of the blue pill... just through the data center door rather then the lab... I used a web design certification as a way out of the woods and after a brief run through the e-commerce bubble ended up in a worldwide position in the IT department of the research division of Pfizer... I started at the begining of the Warner Lambert merger as part of regulatory affairs and ended as one of the PMO managers for the Pharmacia acquisition... I followed a former manager to Suez' United Water division where I was the PMO manager.... then it was on to Microsoft working as one of the elves behind support.microsoft.com. What next? Stay tuned.
