Nancy's Story
Some things about high school and the people are a total "black out" but I remember those saucer cookies! Your pictures do bring back memories and I am surprised at the number that still live In Bakersfield. After college, I lived in Tahoe for 10 years, married for a short time, and then went to the Santa Rosa area where I was a school administrator until retirement. I love to travel and went to Nepal for 3 years as a volunteer educator/consultant for the British and worked with journalists trying to encourage Maoists and ethnic tribal leaders to work together...a hopeless effort but I traveled throughout Asia and went to Tibet twice which was my favorite of all on the Asian continent. Then, I was sent to Guyana for a year to write the Educational Plan for teachers. rk for my church later which was humbling. The travel bug is still with me and I went on an Expedition Cruise to Iceland in March and am headed to South America on a cruise. I don't like cruises but the ship is small, only 700. I have been mostly on 16 person groups to Morocco, Galapagos, Ireland, Turkey, (2 miles from Syrian border), and my favorite place in the USA is Santa Fe. These are not named to brag. I have been very fortunate and at the right place at the right time. They all bring back such great memories. Teacher's retirement is not that great so travel is slowing down but I have a great belief that God is going to keep me going as long as I can keep going..😊. Each of you that have written have shared such wondered experiences in your lives. There are always bumps but you, too, have such rich things that have been a part of your life. You have children, trips, jobs that suit you, etc. Bless all that is a part of you.
