Nancy's Story
I grew up in Essex Fells, NJ. Atended West Essex High School from 1962 through 1967 (junior year). Moved in the summer of 1967 to Edison, NJ where I attended senior year at John P. Stevens High School.
My fond memories while attending WEHS are:
(1)Being a member of the band, marching in the Cotton Bowl Parade in Dallas, TX in 1967 and at our football games.
(2) Attending band camp, where we learned/practiced our marching drills.
(3)Morning band practice on the field before a home game. Color Guard/Twirlers would try to mess up the yardlines put down by the grounds crew, hoping a football player would pick us up and carry us off the field.
(4) Being a member of the Grenediers Marching Band and all the fun we had at the parade fairgrounds.

ances in the summer at James Caldwell HS and Essex Fells.
(6) Hanging out for hours at Grunning's in Caldwell.
(7) The St. Peter's Church carnival.
My fond memories while attending JPS
are:
(1) Being the Color Guard advisor.
(2) Attending the football games.
(3) Being accepted and made to feel welcome by my new classmates who made my senior year a lot of fun.
I'd like to thank all of you.
I'm divorced and currenly live in Union, NJ.
My career working in the Fashion Industry in New York City for over 30 years has been an exciting experience. I've worked for and met some very interesting people.
My son, Kent, lives in Madison, WI. He decided to live there after graduating from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). I am very proud of him.
