Nancy's Story
Since college, I have moved around quite a bit. I initially lived in my hometown of Bridgewater, NJ for four years. I then moved to Dallas Texas for two and a half years. Then it was on to St.Louis, Missouri for two and a half years. After the two rounds of two and a half years, I returned to Dallas, Texas and lived there for 24 years. I have been in Old Lyme, CT now for ten years. I moved to Franklin NC in November 2014.
Upon graduation from Keuka College, I worked for Bell Laboratories in Data Processing. I am now a full time artist, and loving every minute of it. It is truly my passion.
I am happiest when I am working on my paintings or pottery which means I usually very happy every day. I exhibit my artwork in the CT area right now and hope to expand to other states in the near future. My favorite state in which to hang out is New Mexico especially in Santa Fe and Taos. pent a lot of time in New Mexico and I travel there to paint as often as I can. I feel so connected to that part of the country. I also enjoy spending time in the mountains of Colorado and painting there.
I love to travel and paint where I travel. Recently, I spent time along the North Carolina coastline painting.
I am heading to Florida in March and April for artistic inspiration and lots of fun in the sun! My paintings reflect the magnificence of nature. I love being outdoors and being physically active.
For abut a year, I have been planning an Alumni Art Show at Keuka. It will be held from the first week of June throughout the summer. It is the first ever alumni art show. The reunions will be held over this time period.
