Nancy's Story
Life
Hi fellow classmates,
The good news is, that if you are reading this you are still alive. lol I am so glad that you are and hope that life is treating you well.
I stayed at George S. Henry until part way through grade 10 and then moved with my mom and step father and youngest sister to Vancouver where I completed my grade 10. That summer I moved back to Toronto and lived with my dad and went to Forest Hill Collegiate for part of grade 11. Got mixed up with a "boy" and quit school for the remainder of the year. The following year we moved back to Don Mills and I did my grade 11 and grade 12 at Victoria Park SS while I worked part time in the evenings at the Don Mills Post Office. After grade 12 I moved back to Vancouver and went to UBC where I completed my bachelor of arts degree in developmental psychology. After my degree I took a year out and worked and met my future husband. I went to Teacher Training at UBC the following year and also got married.

children and lives in Calgary and Devin is 38 and is married with a step daughter in grade 7 and their own daughter who is 2. They live in Coquitlam and he has his own home renovation company. My marriage lasted until 1999. Fall of 2003 my husband passed away from spinal cancer.
Since that time I bought a townhouse in Port Moody where I lived for 18 years. I moved this summer to a new and larger townhouse in Maple Ridge. I also own, an apartment in Osoyoos.
I retired two years ago from teaching in Coquitlam, B.C. I completed my masters in teacher leadership 1997.
I would love to hear directly from any of you who may remember me and want to get in touch.
My married surname is Carl but my maiden name was Carter, and my first initial is still n. You can email me at shaw if you use my initial and last name all in one. I am also on facebook under my complete name Nancy Carter Carl
Hope to hear from you. Hope life has been kind to you.
