Nancy's Story
Here's a short story for you: graduated '72, went to Univ. of Cincinnati for 1 1/2 yrs. in dance (greatest love of my life, 2nd to my daughter); got married, moved to Madison, WI. where I received undergraduate degree in dance therapy; got divorced; moved to Los Angeles and had a great 18 years there - many friends, great education (received masters degree in social work from UCLA), work (child abuse, particularly sexual assault/abuse & family violence specialties), married, had daughter, divorced, and moved in 1996 to Ft. e director of the County's Sexual Assault Treatment Center , where I've been nearly 10 years and love it still. My daughter is now a junior in college studying photography (an artist type; no social services for her) and I am very proud of her. All was well, until this summer when I learned that I have primary liver cancer - what a blow! But, I am a fighter - always have been - and have wonderful support systems and excellent treatment at University of Miami, so hoping for the best. Have not been to Bryan in 8 years after both my parents died, but do look forward to a class reunion which ought to be in summer, '12. Bryan retains very positive memories for me - what a place to grow up!
