Nancy's Story
I went to Brandeis University after HS to study pre-med and fence but transferred to Queens College to study art education and fine arts. Needing to pay the bills I began working in the financial field in NYC and going to night school. I eventually began working as a computer programmer and worked my way up to Vice President at Citibank in the systems field. usband and I sold it all and moved to rural Maine where we now create glass jewelry, dishes and art objects that we sell to stores and individuals. Our business is called Glass Orchids.
My husband Greg was also in the computer field but now we run the business together from our 96 acre farm in Maine. We raise chickens, quail and ducks and have 3 cats and a dog.
We also have one daughter, Arianna, who is now in 8th grade.
