Nancy's Story
Isn't this crazy how social media allows us to find our long lost friends.
I thought I'd share some history since we haven't probably spoken since high school. I went to LCCC for a year and found myself wanting to begin a career. I've regretted not finishing my college degree since I was 19.
I drove my 67 chevy impala into downtown Cleveland and landed a job in a temp service helping with their books. I spent the next 10 years doing progressively larger roles in accounting. In 82 I married Toby Ramirez and we had 3 beautiful children. We divorced in 05 and in 07 I married Joe Borgia who passed away with cancer 3 months later. I know, made for Lifetime movie, it was.
I went into the staffing industry in 1989 and am still in it today. I started my recruiting firm in 09 after being downsized like half the country.
My children are now grown and I'm a grandmother of 3. I have a daughter Ma...Expand for more
ria who is 26,married in Columbus to a wonderful man and a son Oliver and another on the way. Joseph 25,is my middle son and he got married last year as well. He works as an analyst in Elyria after graduating from The Ohio State University as did Maria.
My youngest Anthony 23,is recently unemployed and is considering returning to school to finish his degree. He's very creative and excellent with people so I know he'll find another path soon. I have two step children that are wonderful young people as well. Christie is 33 and in HR and Joey is 28 and is in car sales.
My siblings are all still around here with the exception of Chip who is in Arizona.
My father passed away and my mom and her husband Bill are living part time in Elyria and part time in Florida.
