Nancy's Story
Well I finished my Master's in Education degree at UGA and married George Launius from Monroe, GA., also a UGA graduate. We opened a pharmacy in Madison, GA. and have raised 3 children in Morgan County. Lindsay graduated from GT, married in 2006, and moved to St. Louis where she works in radiation oncology as a Medical Physicist at a hospital there. Michael finished at UGA, and got an appointment with the GA. Air National Guard. He got married in Dec. 2008 and completed active duty flight school at the end of Jan. He is about to move back to Atlanta and will be deployed at the end of May to Afghanistan for about 2 ...Expand for more
1/2 months, flying the C130 transport plane. John is finishing his second year in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University. We all doing great - No grandchildren yet - And, George will never retire from the drugstore I don't believe. (I have helped in the family business for almost 27 years and I just may think about retiring some day.) The business runs our life but we do have a lot of fun, though. We especially enjoy our lake house in Rabun County and since it's just 2 hours away, we get up there quite often.
