Nancy's Story
After Homestead I attended University of Oregon and got my degree in Music. Unless you are a teacher or a world class performer there are no jobs available to musicians. I then worked for Motorola in Phoenix AZ for 2 years. Then went to work at Hughes Airwest, Howard Hughes's airline. That was the greatest job ever, and met my husband there. We have one son, age 30, who will be getting married on the beach in Fiji 12/31/11. I have always loved horses and cars. t the age of 35. I have been a member of the Tacoma Corvette Club for the last 18 years, and bought my brand new dream car, a cyber gray metallic 2009 Corvette coupe. 430 horsepower under the hood! Imagine, a brand new vette--all the miles on that odometer are mine! I am currently retired and just enjoyed the last 7-8 days when we had summer here in Washington. I have been up here since 1977 and totally love it. If anyone lives near Issaquah look for me at the Triple-X drive-in on Saturday afternoons where all the car crazy folks go during good weather.
