Nancy's Story
I met my husband in Tucson. He was a graduate student in Optical Physics. We've been married almost 30 years. At the time of this writing he's in China on business. He's the CEO/President of a small manufacturing company. Very small these days; hard times in 2000-01. The company makes electro optical test and measurement equipment.
I've spent the day in my garden planting annuals, weeding and mowing the grass...it's the first nice day we've had in a couple weeks. You probably think that sounds boring but while others are extreme climbers and skiers I've become an extreme gardener. We have a lot of that kind...Expand for more
here; the climbers and skiers, I mean. Extreme gardening can be just as dangerous; slugs, herbicides. There are rakes and hoses to watch out for...you name it, dangers all 'round!
My kids live in town but not with us. Neither are married but my son just showed me the engagement ring he bought for his girlfriend. Wow! It's scarier than I thought it would be but I really like her. Maybe I'll write more later.
OK, it's later/ April 2009 and the above must have been written around Aug. of 2008.
The wedding is set for the end of June. We're all stressing over the invitation list. Is it always this difficult?
