Nancy's Story
Life
I have been living with my husband of 30 years, Gerry Gates, in Modoc County since 1976. He is the Forest Archaeologist for the Modoc National Forest.
I have done various work including archaeology for the USFS and BLM. At present I am a private consultant. I also work part time as a philosophy and anthropology instructor for Lassen Community College. I sub in various subjects in the local schools especially the high school.

Joseph and Marya. Joseph is a history major at UC Riverside. Marya is a comp lit major at Cal (Go Bears!). We also have an honory daughter, Sadie who graduated from high school with Marya and now attends Shasta College in Redding.
Gerry and I are very active in Modoc Performing Arts Theater here. This year we produced One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and I play Nurse Rached. Gerry was Dale.
Soon we will be looking forward to retirement LOL
