Nancy Patton:  

Life I have been at CMU for 6 yrs now and have 1 yr. left. I am going to be a school teacher. I have 2 beautiful children Brian who is 18 and Stephanie-Ann who is 16. Classmates has been good to me. It made it possible for an old classmate of ours,Tom Patton, to contact me in August of 2005, after 21 years. Since then I have flown down to Mississippi where he is working on all the damages caused by the hurricanes. We had a beautifully wonderful, very memorable reunion of our own. We have started a long distance relationship and things have been going awesome. Both my kids will graduate in the next 2 years and it will finally be time for me to live my life. As of December 26,05 Tom and I have been going strong and things are only getting better. He wrote a story about us and I am putting it here so All can enjoy it. It all started back in 1984 when I was attending Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights, Michigan. I met a girl and became friends with her, her name was Nancy Gabbert. Over the next year and a half Nancy and I became friends. In the beginning of our Senior year we worked together at McDonalds. Both of us were dating other people and only saw each other at work or at an occasional party on the weekend. There was one particular weekend that I drove Nancy home from a party. We stood and talked for a few minutes in her driveway before she went into the house. Before I left we kissed, it was a kiss that has stayed with me for over 20 Years. When I left high school to go into the Army in May, 1985 I never heard from or talked to Nancy again. Until I had signed up for classmates.com and joined as a Gold Member. I had done so, so that I could RSVP for our 20 year class reunion and make contact with some others who were attending. I had noticed that Nancy also RSVP’d to attend.
