Nancy's Story
Life
Well, as you know, I did not graduate from Godwin, but did go there most of my school years. After highschool I married a man from Rogers High, who had recently gotten out of the Army. We had our first son, Joe, the following year. Eventually, we divorced, but found our way back to each other 14 years later. We are now happily married with 5 children, and 3 grand children. I moved around a little throughout the years. My travels took me to California, with my son Joe. We just decided, one day, to travel across the US and see what was in store for us. which proved to be anything but dull!! The sun, mountains, beaches and warm weather were awesome. Eventually we headed back to Michigan. I guess we were a little homesick. Al and I remarried when I returned and we brought our two families together. He had 2 boys and a girl during the years we were apart. What a change for a single, independent girl like myself....
Anyway, having a big family was great...and then came Chris, my youngest son. What a surprise at 33, but a pleasant one.
Now Al and I are enjoying our later years together. The kids are all grown. We have 13 wonderful grandchildren. Al and I now reside in Illinois. We stay with my mother to help her out in her later years. My life is content. God is good......
