After high school I went to California. I got a job as a cashier at a gas & diesel truck stop. I never knew people could be so stupid! This was at I-5 & I-505 in Dunnigan, CA. The first day was the fourth of July. I later enrolled in the local junior college...the satellite in Woodland of Yuba College. Then off to Sacramento. I worked as a temp for a while. I always thought I would just go to the university after high school. I was accepted at UNR to study Biology. I wanted to get in to the field of Marine Biology. I was a regular on the beach in the summer. I went to Puerto Rico with my husband. I had my first son in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. I lived in Puerto Rico for about a year. I made sure I saw the island. The rain forest is beautiful. I will always remember sitting under a waterfall in the rain forest and hiking to all the guard houses from when the Spanish ruled Puerto Rico several hundred years ago. I saw the place where dignitaries visited and ate...such as Teddy Roosevelt and FDR. I was determined to go to college. I almost went to World University in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.
