Nancy's Story
Life has been quite amazing so far.
I could write a book, but I don't want to bore anyone, so here is my (somewhat) brief essay.
I live in Gray now in a 200 + yo farm house with acres of Wild Maine blueberries. I have gorgeous flower gardens - one of my hobbies - and want to have more. I have been married and divorced twice. I guess it took me a while to finally learn to pick a good guy, but I finally figured it out and I now live with the love of my life, Ron. I couldn't ask for a better freind and partner. He is also a musician and very artistic and creative to boot. We have a really happy life and I am quite convinced he is a keeper, although I don't know if I will marry again.
I am incredibly busy and it is a big self- indulgence to take the time to do all this Classmates.com stuff.
After high school, I pursued a number of educational paths, finally settling on a Bachelor in Fine Arts at USM. After that I worked a number of jobs, activity director, fitness instructor, secretarial work, all while playing - mostly singing lead - in rock bands.
In 1995 I decided to go back to school to pursue a Master in Social Work at UMO so that I could be a councilor. I absolutely love going to school and have considered going back for either a JD to practice family law or a PhD in counseling psychology. If I had it all to do over again, I would have actually applied myself in high school.
After I got my masters, I worked in community mental health for a while. Now, I have a very busy private practice in Lewiston, Maine. I am...Expand for more
a cerfited hypnotherapist and also have advanced training in a number of other specialty areas. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, although I work with a variety of issues. I also do smoking cessation. I personally have not smoked since age 21.
I have been a musician since I was 21. My bands have included The Real Band, Delilah, Little Buffalo, Pandemonium, Mindzeye, and most recently F.I.N.E. and OCD. During the last two I have taken up playing keyboard again. I was quite rusty after almost 30 years, but it is coming back and I love it.
I still teach fitness classes: step aerobics and spinning part time. I am really excited to start teaching and the new gym in Lewiston. It is called "The Gym." I think it is going to be the hottest club I've worked at. There are some increadible instructors and there will be some great classes, like Body Pump.

It is great to connect with people. What I regret most about high school is that I was lost so about who I really was that I missed out on being me and being in high school when I was there. I dated a couple guys that I probably shouldn't have! They were both out of school and my relationships with them prevented me from doing alot of the social stuff that makes high school memorable. There were a lot of great people at my school, but my confusion and the path I chose prevented me from getting to know them. It is cool to have a chance to reconnect again.
