Nancy's Story
Life
After graduation, I married and moved to North Carolina where I raised two wonderful children, a boy and a girl. After 14 years, Salisbury called me back home. A blissful second marriage in 1977 takes me to Laurel, Maryland where I presently live. I retired this past July, 2001 and have enrolled in a community college to experience what I missed by getting married at such a young age.
AS of 7/07 I am a 7 year cancer survivor (2 times.) I have not paid the dues for several years as nothing much was offered when I first started paying the fee. Now you have to be a paying member for just about everything that used to be free. Therefore, the two signatures on my guest book remain unknown as I am too cheap to pay the price.

8/08 I have, however, since 7/07, paid my dues so I may now peruse the classmate page. For those who want to know but do not want to ask: I have survived the 6 months to live scare, the 15% chance of living 5 years after treatment scare and celebrated 8 years survival from first lung cancer and 6 years survival from the second bout with lung cancer. LIFE IS GOOD. BREATH IS A GIFT! I've even learned how to navigate with a nasal cannula and 50 feet of tubing and no broken bones for over 2 years.
07/09 Hi Folks. I very calmly paid my dues again. I am now a 9year/7year lung cancer survivor with no signs of recurrence. God Is Good!!!
