Nancy's Story
I was such a dreamer back in the day, and never did get to art school as I had envisioned..... although my goal was to attend either MCAD in Minneapolis or Cooper Union out in New York. I had lots of fun in those early years and then took the safer route and stayed in Minnesota and went to the Minnesota School of Business and built a career in the insurance industry. I recently retired from UCare Minnesota where I worked in Government Relations for the last 17 years, project managing audits to ensure regulatory compliance and development of Request for Proposals for business expansion....Expand for more
Never in my young dreamer years would I have thought I would ever do something so detail oriented and serious (and enjoy it!) but I did. There you have it.
I still continue with my artwork, mostly with colored pencils and expanded into jewelry. I am enjoying continuing success in this fantastic hobby. I am part of an artists cooperative in Stillwater, called the Stillwater Art Guild Gallery and am currently busy preparing to open a store on Etsy.
Happily married (the second time around) to a fine guy named John. Rounding out the family is daughter Ashley and her family.
