Hi there. Or, meanwhile, 39 years later... Well, I am still married to Carl Matz, after almost 39 years. We have lived in Visalia, CA for over 25 years. Carl works for the Dept of Food and Ag for the state of California. He works with the dairies and dairymen in the Central Valley. I have worked at Tulare Union High School for 25 years, first as a reading and English teacher and then as a library media specialist. Two adult children: Neil is 38, co-owner of computer software/hardware company and lives in Tracy. Chanin is 34 and is a human resources person for a mortgage company in Charlotte, N.C. We also have five energetic grandchildren. Since I work with teenagers, I am happy to report that I like teenagers a lot! We have hosted many teenaged international exchange students over the years (from Latvia, Germany, Japan, Colombia, and Denmark) so we have an extended interational family, which means that we like to travel to see them. I am very slow at answering emails, facebook stuff, and classmates. As many do, I work on computers all day long at work so when I come home I usually stay as far away from a computer as I can.
