Nancy's Story
Hard to believe it's been thirty years since graduation. My how time flies! While I was a senior at Ringgold, I was hired by Willi's Ski Shop to be their secretary/bookkeeper for their five stores. I retired from full-time work when Jarrad, now almost 24, was born. In 1988 when Brendan, almost 21, was born, I became a full-time mom and volunteer. Peters Township was our home before we left for Sandy Hook, Connecticut. After five years there, we moved to Ellicottville, New York. I have continued my volunteer work and am now in charge of a group of women that design, plant and maintain all of our Village flowers. Also, I'm treasurer of our local magazine, E'ville Events. I work in sales and accounting for a small shop here in Ellicottville. During the winter I also work for a restaurant where I receive their deliveries. Ellicottville is a resort town in Western New York with two ski resorts so, of course, I spend a lot of time skiing. Jarrad has graduated from SUNY Oswego and now lives in Breckenridge, Colorado. Brendan is a junior at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology). After 26 years of marriage, I am separated and as a newly single, empty-nester, I am beginning a new chapter in my life. Although I missed the reunion this year, I hope the reunion when we turn 50 happens. I'd love to see all of you again and catch up on all the missing years.
