Life My name at the time of graduation was Naomi Watkins. Every morning and afternoon, while attending Mackenzie, I would announce school events on Mackenzie Radio Unit (MRU). Briefly I attended Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan. After terminating my role as student, I obtained a position with WXYZ-TV Channel 7 in Southfield, Michigan. The salary of an associate producer came with many perks and benefits; however, Detroit did not seem to hold my interest. My position at the television station allowed me some time to travel; having had my first plane ride at 19-years old, I was anxious again to fly. I fell in love with flying deciding to apply for a position in the airline industry. At age 23, I became a flight attendant with Allegheny Airlines (today it is US Airways, INc.). After 31-years as a flight attendant with the same airline that went through several mergers, I retired in 2005.
