Natalie's Story
Life
After high school I attended Baylor Univ. where I majored in education with an early childhood specialization. I taught school for 3 years before deciding I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I now have 4 children...Erica is 15, Will is 12, Jacob is 10, and Anna Grace is 9. My husband and I moved our family to Ankara, Turkey in the spring of 2002. We love living overseas and couldn't ask for a better place to raise our children! Most people hear Turkey and think middle east. Our city is actually a very modern city...a real east meets west kind of place. There are women who are covered walking along with women who are dressed in tight skimpy clothing. The society loves children, and my kids have a lot more freedom here than they would be able to have in the states. My world view has changed dra...Expand for more
matically since living outside of the USA which I am really grateful for. That said I love going back to visit the states and letting my kids experience that culture as well. And America is the extreme leader in customer satisfaction and product choice. We recently spent some time in America and I was overwhelmed by the cereal at the grocery store as well as the fully stocked coffee bar at the gas station! And the food...well there is nothing like it! We have good food in Turkey, but the seafood in America is to die for in my opinion! We also miss TexMex, Reeses Peanut Butter cups, and Dr. Pepper just to name a few! Since I live in Turkey I won't be able to make it to the reunion...have fun!
We are planning on coming back to the states in November of 2008 for several months. Yea! I can't wait!
