Life
Hi! F*a*c*e*b*o*o*k me...I am in sunny Arizona now. I graduated from ASU in December of '98 and got married the very next day. I have a 17 year old daughter (Destinee)who is a Junior...yikes! and a 7 year old daughter (Madison)who is in 2nd grade. Destinee is an aspiring singer/songwriter who had many doors open for her in the industry last summer! No doubt she will be in Nashville and on the radio soon! Check out pics on the web at myspace, I'm psalm147three Or Destinee Quinn on youtube or music myspace...I taught Special Education in junior high (absolutely loved it, reminded me of being at Jefferson) up until Madison was born. "Stay-at-home mom" days are over as I am back to teaching, this time in a High School. Life was pretty rough since high school, but I wouldn't change a thing! I am truly blessed! I gave my heart to Jesus Christ in 1992 and life has been so much more peaceful! And we are starting to see the fruits and blessings of being obedient to Him and His Word. It has not been an easy road (so many speed bumps and wrong way turns!) but it has ALL been used to grow me into a Woman after God's own heart! So I guess you can say I am a Jesus Freak, or Jesus Chick as my daughter says, funny because I used to make fun of "those" kinds of people growing up (Athiest Father had something to do with that, I think) Seeing names of past friends that I haven't heard from makes my eyes water. I'm such a sap! Please contact me, I'd love to hear from everyone. I miss Long Beach! So far I have found several really good friends that I wondered about and amazingly I found 2 stepsisters that I haven't seen in 25 years (to which I am forever indebted to Classmates for)! For now,I am putting off my ...Expand for more
passion and career as a teacher to be home with my two children. But I will be back to teaching as soon as I cut the apron strings! Blessings to all of you! Trust in HIM, I promise life will never be the same!!!! Some of you may remember Joe, I lived with him during my senior year (JUST as friends) well after an amazing 25 year adventure of our wacky friendship (back to Jefferson days) he suddenly passed away...he will be dearly missed by my family and my days are lonely without his daily phone call to me making sure "I am cooking, cleaning and being a good wife and mommy", now I have no one to "argue" with and to discuss the oh so important details of all the various reality shows etc. and to discuss the ins and outs of writing and directing his first feature film and all the juicy gossip of Hollywood, He came so close to fulfilling his biggest dream...He was an amazing friend, one of the few who stuck by me through EVERYTHING and still loved me just the same... Each day we have on this earth is such an incredible gift USE IT WISELY! SO go call your best friend and tell them how special they are!!!
I'd love to hear from any of you who remember me! It's interesting to see where life's road takes everyone...and I missed out on the past 2 reunions...

Drama and Mr. Bowden will forever be in my most cherished memories of High School! My senior year I lived on my own, so I wish I could do that year over! Life in High School was not that great because of family issues and emotional issues. I wish I could do it all over again with what I know now! I think that is why I teach Junior High and (will teach High School eventually), because it is the most important and informative time of "growing up".
