Life After graduating from WIU, I followed my parents to Houston where I worked in retail mgmt with Laura Ashley, then Brookstone. Married in '86, had son Jared in '88 then worked part-time in retail and became very involved in his elementary PTO for several years. We decided to move my husband's co. HQ to TN (where he is from) and on the eve of my 40th birthday, bought some land, moved near Nashville, had another child (surprise!) and built a new home. After a 6 yr stint as a stay-at-home mom, I went back to work for the local public school system as a Title I Educational Assistant in one of the elementary schools. Did that for about 6 years, now I'm back at home and I spend a lot of time volunteering at my church, coordinating the food pantry.
