Nathan's Story
Life
After graduating I did a little stint in the workforce. It didn't take long before I decided that wasn't for me and joined the military. I was told I could do anything I wanted to, based on availability of course, because of the test scores. I decided to join the Army Infantry. What a blast that was. For 4 years I didn't have to worry about roof over my head or where the next paycheck came from. No planning for the future or anything like that. Stationed in Germany the whole tour. Got to see Europe...that was great. Other than skiing and mountain climbing/repelling and beer drinking...didn't get much more out of the Army. After the Army stint, I went back to AV for a while, until winter anyway. Did some construction while I got my head screwed on right. Moved to Louisvil...Expand for more
le, KY to attend college and finally got going on the rest of my life. After college I decided to head west for an opportunity in a family business. Been in Nevada since 1988 and love it. I enjoy the outdoors. Summer is mostly focused around camping, fishing, waterskiing and training my bird dogs. Fall is spent bird hunting. Winter is consumed by snowskiing and spring is for gardening. In between I try to take my wonderful wife on my little magical mystery tour. She seems to enjoy my active imagination but hates my sarcasim. Anyone who remebers me will understand. I warned her when I proposed so she was prepared. Nate Clark 1982

I started here in 1988 as a janitor. Whodathunk I'd be College President now? Improving the future does not mean letting go of the past.
