Nathan's Story
Life
After starting college at Appalachian State, I became very interested in all types of music, especially jam bands and those types. I love going to shows with friends and rocking out! I am currently dating a young lady named Victoria who is still in school at ASU.
College
College was a blast. Started in August 2000 and finished in December 2004. Graduated with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Did pot luck my freshman year and ended up with a roomate from Davie County that I lived with for 3 years after that until we both graduated. Lets just say I found out who I really was in those 4.5 years of college and if I could do it all again, I'd stay longer!
Workplace
After graduating college, I got a job at a rug store in Blowing Rock because myself and two others jointly created an Inventory Track...Expand for more
ing System database in Access for a class my last semester. While working at this rug store, I met a lady who owned her own healthcare type company located in Hickory. After telling her what degree I had she offered me a job and without hesitation I took it. I now work for a company called Prevent, Inc. based in Hickory. We educate nurses in nursing homes how to use mechanical lifts. I am traveling quite a bit up and down the northeast but am waiting for this summer to actually be doing what I was hired for. Currently we have hired a computer programmer to create a website/database for the company. Once this is finished, I will be in charge of maintaining the database, and my official title will be Database Administrator (I think). I really like this job and I believe the future of this company could be astronomical.
