Lynn's Story
Life
Although I left the southern California area for several years, I'm back here now. I have four children, fifteen grandchildren and my eighth great-grandchild will be joining us early next year.
My younger two sons and their families live in Arkansas and I will probably move there eventually.
I've been in accounting for more than 30 years lastly as Accounting/HR Manager for a company in Riverside and was very happy. But they sold to a Fortune 500 company and communting to Irvine from the high desert just wasn't in my life plan.
Among other pets, I had a cat - Pywacit for 18 years and a dog Jake for 16. Pets and friends I seen to do better with than husbands.
These days I live in a four generation household. I live with my mother who will be 80 next July and is relati...Expand for more
vely healthy although she recently had hip replacement surgery and will have the other one done in the next few weeks. She lost her home in Crestline in the "Old Fire" about 4 years ago and my long term relationship ended shortly after that.
About the same time my oldest son and his wife ended their marriage. We have two houses, but we all live on the same 2.5 acres. We have chickens, turkeys, quail, pigs, a garden and a horse that is basically a yard ornament. The pig is pregnant and we are looking for a calf.
I make quilts, hand-dye fabric, run an accounting business from home, cook (I do a bit of catering) and enjoy being a gramma.
How can life be better than that?
