Neal's Story
After Vietnam, I completed my degree in Business Administration at UMass Amherst. Upon graduation, I embarked on an extensive career with Johnson and Johnson. Accepting different assignments and traveling extensively throughout my career. My focus was on sales, marketing and sales management. Over the years, we opened a large scale restaurant and developed property. The most challenging period in my life was when I was invited to organize a sales team in a start up Biotech company. I loved the group of people that I partnered with and I learned so much.
I have been married to a wonderful woman who has tolerated me for over forty years.
We have one son, Sean. He has an undergraduate degree in International business and finance from LSU as well as an MBA from SMU. He is currently focused on building his commercial real estate business. He is married to a wonderful young lady. The daughter that we never had! They have blessed us with the loves of our life, Emilia Kate and Gabrielle Perri.
I cannot say that I will ever be completely retired. I still have a consulting entity. We started an LLC a couple of years ago that focuses on property development. As a family, we enjoy the family input and team effort in building different projects.
I must admit that I spend most of my time playing golf and going to the gym. We have traveled all over the world. We love Europe especially Italy where we visit once a year.
I feel blessed and fortunate to have the life and family that has given me so much.
Just got back from two wonderful weeks in Italy. Great si...Expand for more
tes, food, wine, and friends! Planning a trip to Spain- Seville, San Sebastian and Barcelona next fall. Going to Charleston, S.C. in April - great restaurants and art galleries!
Spain was great especially San Sebastian- the foody capital of Spain. The area ranks #2 in the world for the number of Michelin Starred Restaurants per capita. Outstanding restaurants and great wine! Seville was disappointing and Barcelona overwhelmed with tourists and cruise ships.
Heading back to Italy in April. I found a home in Tuscany and we are really looking forward to spending some time on lake Como and Switzerland.
So much for Italy and Switzerland. Had to cancel and have been totally occupied with our move. Having a great time staying in place. Although people are out and about. We have not been hit hard and count our blessings. Hope everyone is safe and managing during these difficult times!
Looks like we will make it back to Italy this Sept and Oct!!!!!!!
FINALLY made it back to Italy for over two wonderful weeks. Visiting friends, newly visited and old memorable sights, great food and wine. This country had a tough time surviving covid with many businesses permanently shut and many more making it back on their feet. Tough and positive group of people who are anxiously awaiting for Americans to come and visit. They love Americans!!!!
Headed to Turkey for two weeks in September. Spending eight nights in Istanbul and the rest in the Cappadocia area. The first morning I am looking forward to Hot Air Ballooning and exploring the unique landscape and history.
