Neil's Story
Life
I have been married to the former Diane Bass of Newton, NC since 1982 and we have two beautiful daughters. The girls are 24 and 21 at this time. My interests are serving my Lord, spending time with my family, and taking mission trips to Ukraine, Haiti, Cuba, and Guatemala.
The focus of the mission trips is to build churches, support the various churches with financial and spiritual resources, provide financial assistance to several pastors, meet humanitarian needs, evangelism, and provide various needs to the many orphanages. It is the one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
I have been employed with Summit BSR Roofing since 1985. My office is in Mount Holly, NC and our home office is in Bristol, TN. We are commercial/industrial roofing contractors. We have roof installations from Puerto Rico to Michigan, but our main area is the Southeast.

Update:11-02-22
It has been a while since being on this site and so many things have changed since the first profile. One of the changes is I am much older. My distinguishing characteristics are now, gray hair, white beard, wrinkles, big stomach, bad back, bad eyesight, hearing loss, and poor memory. However, God is good and helps me through all the challenges of growing old.
As of 06-01-20 I resigned as President, off Summit to go to work with my younger daughter, Beverly. However, Summit asked me to stay on two days a week until finding a replacement. That has not happened and I continue to work "two days a week" with them.

"what does Neil know about home decor and gifts"? “Nothing” would be a fitting answer, but I do know how to be a dad and working with Bev is great. Go to sullivangift.com and learn what Sullivan's is all about. My territory is Southern Virginia and upper coastal North Carolina.
Diane has been retired for eight years and enjoys traveling, spending time with our girls, and keeping our home tidy. We do some traveling together, but since I will never retire she has to go places with the seniors’ groups from different churches, an occasional Burke Tour, and what I call a permanent vacation visiting with our older daughter Erica in Wilmington, NC, for long stretches.
Erica works for Lincoln Financial. Her move to Wilmington, NC gives her opportunities to visit the various beaches in the area, which she loves. It also lets her come home regularly, which mom and dad love. I get to stay with Erica when covering my coastal NC territory. We are able to experience the many different restaurants of Wilmington when I visit, and the food is great.
Bev has worn many hats for several years. She was (and continues to be) a customer of Sullivan with four separate locations of shops for gifts and clothing. She does event planning and home decorating. She had a booth at the Southern Christmas Show for several years but had to stop when she became a Sullivan rep because there was not enough of her to go around with all the other jobs that keep her busy. Her territory for Sullivan is NC.
I hope all my classmates are well and enjoying life. Let me know how things are going. I will try to look at the Classmates more often.
