Neil's Story
Life has been good. After graduating from high school I went to West Valley then to Long Beach State. I graduated with a degree and credential to teach Industrial Arts. Prop 13 passed and good ol' Neil couldn't find a job. Stayed with the grocery business where I worked mostly in Risk Management developing safety programs for customers and employees. I retired four years ago and now substitute teach in the Milpitas school district. After 40 years, I am finally fulfilling my dream of working with young people. They certainly keep me mentally active.
I will have been married for 45 years in November and have two wonderful daughters, one of whom is a teacher and one works in pharmaceuticals (...Expand for more
legal) in governmental compliance. My wife is a principal's secretary at one of the middle schools in Milpitas.
We have lived in South San Jose for the last 35 years and are noted by the local real estate folks as having lived in three houses on the same street. Seems to be a selling factor noting neighborhood satisfaction.
We haven't traveled a lot but have been to Hawaii a couple of times, Mexico a couple of times, Washington a few times since my brother and sister live in Olympia and Pennsylvania visiting my wife's family a few times. Mostly home bodies are we.
We enjoy home improvement projects and working in the yard, planning to replace front yard soon.
Like I said life has been good.
