Nell's Story
Hello My Classmates and Friends
It's been too long since high school (Lincoln). A few of us were majorettes (Sylvia (Abner) Gardner, Almentha (Gay) Barber, Helen Brown, and last but not least...Gloria McGlockton.) It's funny, I can't seem to remember the others right now. Would love to hear from them.
I can still see Ronnie Price (my cuz) leading the band and Willie Hobbs. Has anyone heard from either of them?
We (I) had a great time at Lincoln High. I can still see us (Marvin Henderson, Al Henderson, Mary Hills, Altamease ...) standing in the quadrangle after school laughing and teasing each other. Do you remember Raymond Chavis? Henry Lewis? Roland Gaines? Fred Gainous? Yes, we had a great class (and some upperclassmen). LOL
I am currently married to Dennard Wright and I have two children. Both grown. Both attended college..one graduated and the other needs about 15 hours...:0(
My son is married to a great girl (Patricia Reddick) and she teaches scho...Expand for more
ol. My daughter broke off her engagement, but she has a wonderful son..the apple of my eye...Tre' Holton. He is 9 and thinks he is 29...LOL
He works for the Leon County Sheriff's Depatment and my daughter is a City Carrier (sometimes 204B) with the US Postal Service.
My husband works at FSU and supervises in the evening for the Leon County School Board.
And me, well...I am still employed here at Florida A&M University...SBI. I graduated with a degree in Business but never entered grad school though I have some grad hours toward my masters...:0(
I lived in New York for a few years and was a supervisor in Narcotics. Both of my children were born in New York.
Though raised a Baptist, I joined the Methodist Church when I married Dennard and belong to Bethel AME.
I believe I have just about covered most of my life since graduating high school and would love to hear from some of my old classmates.
